TJX is all about the value proposition for their customers in the area of fashion and home goods, so it’s no surprise that Halton’s system was chosen as the solution for their Canadian headquarters.
TJX

Mississauga, Ontario, Canada (2015)
When TJX was developing their new headquarters commissary, they Marshalled all of their ideas and requirements to determine what system would provide the best Home Sense while making them Winners on the environmental and energy front.
TJX, working with Cini-Little in Toronto, developed a system design to address all of their requirements. The system incorporates Halton’s Capture Ray hood system in conjunction with the M.A.R.V.E.L. II Demand Control Kitchen Ventilation controls. The exhaust is a Halton Ecology unit. Coordination of the various components was a seamless endeavor as the M.A.R.V.E.L. system provides a common controls platform for all components of the system.
An additional requirement was an aesthetic one for the front of house induction cooking station. The solution was Halton’s unique Jet Extraction System (JES). This type I listed “hood” with its tempered glass plate is ideally suited for induction cooking while providing an aesthetic element in the space.
The Capture Ray hoods are able to convert grease particles to a powdery substance and minimize loading on the Ecology unit.
Halton’s M.A.R.V.E.L. system proactively responds to changes in cooking activity, modulating exhaust to match the heat output of the appliance from off to idle and full load cooking. The unique Infrared sensors detect the onset of cooking instantaneously.
TJX is all about the value proposition for their customers in the area of fashion and home goods, so it’s no surprise that Halton’s system was chosen as the solution for their Canadian headquarters.
