Marianna Saren
Development & Operations Manager – Finland

Meet Marianna Saren who works as a Development & Operations Manager. She started to work in Halton in 2010 after she had finished her master’s thesis “Distribution development in global business environment” for Supply Chain Development Department in Halton.

Marianna takes care of a variety of topics, mostly revolving around systems like ERP and CRM, eBusiness and developing business processes. She is involved in training, developing, and maintaining these systems, as well as resolving any potential error situations. Often there is “project manager” role when something new is tested and implemented.

“I see my job as directly serving internal customers, fellow Haltonians, to help them be systematic and use our tools to benefit our common goals and working in one way. Of course, in the end, this serves our external customers as we can develop as a team and company.”

Why Halton?
“Over the years, I have had the chance to work in different areas, like the Finance Department and shortly in Sales Support, which has given me strong background for my current position and growth in my career. Also being a part of the second group for Halton Leadership & Career program was an honor and I have enjoyed participating in some Halton’s personnel activities over the past years, such as trying shooting and cross-country skiing lessons. These have then developed into enjoyable outdoor sports hobbies. I also like that Halton is family-owned company where people are kind and approachable.”

A ‘hot topic’ for you right now is…?
“My main focus currently revolves around the role of the Project Management Office in our SBAs development program, which covers all areas of the business. I am also involved in our product development as an agile coach.”
